Men’s corner 
Hey there all you bewildered boyfriends, you frustrated fiancés, and you
murmuring misters. We now have a Men's Corner in this newsletter just for you! And I promise in no time you too will become sincere supportive spouses, humble helpful husbands, and prolific professional partners!
No this isn't a 12-step program. It isn't a quick fix scheme. I'm saying
that your significant other is a part of the greatest business in the world,
and that you should be, too. Many reading this have already learned that truth. Most of us wish that we could be a consultant, too. But in the end, it's far more rewarding to be partners with your wife than to try to make it separately. What I'm saying guys is this, learn as much as you can about Mary Kay.
That's your first step: Never stop learning or growing. If you
learn, you can understand all the stuff your wife is talking about when she comes home all giggles and grins and starts spewing pink bubbles all over the place. (So you don't get confused, "pink bubbles" are all general things, terms, ideas having to do with Mary Kay) Right. Now you have your first step. Second: love and support. That's it. Love her and support her. This business isn't hard and being a "Mary Kay Man" isn't either. So I'm
going to stop talking and leave you with some wise words from John Balling, husband to Melinda Balling, Independent Executive Sales Director. (The general ideas were his, but I've taken some linguistic license)
10 Secrets to being a "Mary Kay Man"
1. Tell her you're proud of her, mean it and give her a big hug.
2. Realize that you know almost nothing about women and even less about
cosmetics.
3. Read a book on the power of positive re-enforcement.
4. Leave her alone and let her calm down when life has her "tweaked” so you
don't increase the stress level.
5. Be quiet, look thoughtful, and listen to what she says.
6. Use your own discernment in each situation to tell whether things are
going good or bad. If you can't tell refer to #5.
7. DON'T offer advice about her business unless it is solicited. And in
those rare cases, refer to #2.
8. NEVER use the words "I think you should..." only "what if you..." or
"what do you think about..."
9. DON'T try to be profound!!
10. NEVER underestimate sincere praise and admiration.
